Workgroups description
To strengthen collaboration and knowledge exchange within the fintech ecosystem, Fintech Hub LT has established four dedicated working groups: the Financial Crime Group, Compliance Group, Information Security Group, and the CEO/Country Manager Group. These groups bring together industry professionals and leaders to address key areas of regulatory, operational, and strategic importance across the sector.
The primary objective of these groups is to collect and share best practices in legislation, compliance, operational excellence, technical requirement and partnerships, ensuring that relevant and up-to-date information is easily accessible in a centralized space. We also organize regular training sessions and meetings, offering a platform where Association members and regulatory authorities can engage in open dialogue, exchange insights, and build mutual understanding around compliance and risk-related topics.
Beyond knowledge-sharing, the working groups play an active role in shaping the regulatory landscape. By contributing to legislative development and engaging in consultations, they ensure that fintech sector needs are well-represented. Moreover, they maintain close cooperation with regulatory bodies, focusing on practical implementation and ensuring that member institutions can operate in full alignment with evolving legal and compliance frameworks.
Focus Groups
In addition to its standing working groups, Fintech Hub LT initiates Focus Groups in response to emerging and high-priority topics within the fintech market. These groups are formed around specific challenges or trends and bring together experts and practitioners from member organizations to address pressing issues with agility and precision.
The Focus Groups serve as collaborative think tanks, where participants identify gaps in legislation, regulatory approaches, or market best practices. Through in-depth discussion and joint analysis, they define key pain points experienced by industry players and explore actionable solutions. The emphasis is on surfacing real-world insights that reflect the day-to-day realities of operating in a rapidly evolving fintech environment.
As a result of these efforts, Focus Groups produce comprehensive position papers or recommendations, which are shared with relevant stakeholders. These may take the form of proposals to regulators on how to implement good practices in the market or formal suggestions to amend or refine legal acts. Through this process, Fintech Hub LT ensures that the voice of the industry is represented in regulatory discourse and that the fintech ecosystem continues to grow in a transparent, sustainable, and innovation-friendly direction.
Knowledge Sharing
Knowledge sharing is a cornerstone of Fintech Hub LT’s mission to foster an informed, collaborative, and forward-looking fintech community. Every year, the Association organizes a wide range of events designed to promote dialogue, build expertise, and strengthen the relationship between fintech companies and regulatory authorities. In 2024 alone, Fintech Hub LT hosted 50 events, underscoring its commitment to continuous learning and proactive industry engagement.
These events encompass regular working group meetings with regulators, interactive workshops, roundtable discussions, and product-focused sessions tailored to member needs. Fintech Hub LT also partners with key institutions—including the Bank of Lithuania, State Tax Authority, and Financial Crime Investigation Service—to deliver joint events that facilitate practical discussions on compliance, innovation, and risk management. This dynamic format encourages meaningful exchanges between public and private sector stakeholders.
To ensure that knowledge extends beyond live participation, event materials and video recordings are systematically shared with members, creating a valuable and growing repository of insights. This approach enables all members—regardless of company size or maturity—to stay updated on the latest developments, deepen their understanding of regulatory expectations, and apply best practices across their organizations.
Legislation and Lobbying
Fintech Hub LT plays an active and strategic role in shaping the legislative environment for the fintech sector in Lithuania. The Association systematically participates in the law-making process by reviewing and providing legal opinions on all proposed amendments to legal acts that may impact the fintech industry. These professional assessments are shared with relevant authorities, ensuring that industry insights are considered during the drafting and refinement of legislation.
In addition to legal analysis, Fintech Hub LT serves as a registered lobbyist, consistently engaging in dialogue with political, regulatory, and institutional stakeholders. Its goal is to represent the interests of the fintech sector and advocate for the integration of fintech into national governmental programs, economic strategies, and digital agendas. This work ensures that fintech remains a recognized and prioritized area within broader policy frameworks.
Beyond policy influence, Fintech Hub LT is committed to raising public and institutional awareness about the role and benefits of fintech. Through lobbying efforts and active participation in public discussions, the Association contributes to enhancing knowledge about fintech among government bodies, businesses, and the general population, thereby fostering a more supportive environment for innovation, investment, and growth.
Activity Reports
To ensure transparency, accountability, and value for its members and stakeholders, Fintech Hub LT publishes an annual Activity Report summarizing the key initiatives, events, and advocacy efforts carried out throughout the year. This report reflects the Association’s ongoing commitment to supporting the fintech ecosystem through knowledge sharing, regulatory engagement, and community-building.
The Activity Report provides a comprehensive overview of the work done by the Association’s working groups, focus groups, and collaborative initiatives with regulators and other institutions. It highlights achievements in areas such as legislative advocacy, compliance and risk management, educational events, and strategic partnerships. The report also includes key statistics and milestones—such as the number of events organized, members engaged, and contributions to public policy.
This annual publication serves not only as a record of accomplishments, but also as a strategic communication tool that strengthens trust, demonstrates impact, and inspires continued collaboration within the fintech sector. By sharing this report with its members, regulatory partners, and the broader public, Fintech Hub LT ensures that its efforts remain aligned with the needs and priorities of the ecosystem it serves.
Financial Report
As part of its commitment to transparency and good governance, Fintech Hub LT prepares and publishes an annual Financial Report. This report provides a clear and accurate overview of the Association’s financial performance, including income, expenditures, and resource allocation over the course of the year.
The Financial Report outlines how membership fees and other sources of funding are used to support the Association’s strategic goals—such as organizing industry events, facilitating regulatory engagement, and producing research and policy papers. It also includes insights into budget planning, cost efficiency measures, and financial sustainability.
By sharing this information openly with its members and relevant stakeholders, Fintech Hub LT ensures trust, accountability, and responsible financial management. The Financial Report complements the broader Activities Report and helps maintain transparency in how the Association operates and delivers value to the fintech community.
